Assist Southeast Asia in electrification! EVE signs a tripartite cooperation agreement with Electrum and GWKC

On November 22nd, the signing ceremony for the tripartite cooperation between EVE Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as: EVE Energy), PT Energi Kreasi Bersama (hereinafter referred to as: Electrum), and Shenzhen GWKC New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as: GWKC) was successfully held.

Electrum CEO Yang Yujie, CFO Baskara Van Roo, GWKC's General Manager Zhang Chunyuan, Board Secretary Yu Miao, EVE's Senior Vice President Mr. Vincent and General Manager of Cylindrical Battery Sales Center Zhao Jian attended the ceremony.

According to the cooperation plan, the three parties will share their respective advantages, share resources and collaborate, actively layout the Southeast Asian region around the electric motorcycle battery system and battery swapping operation, comprehensively improve product quality, enhance service capabilities and operational efficiency, jointly form market competitive advantages, and achieve mutual benefit. One is to jointly tackle key issues, continuously optimize and upgrade the design and process of battery systems, and form a strong market competitive advantage; the second is to establish stable supply guarantee and after-sales support services for battery systems in China and Southeast Asia, and increase market share in the field of electric motorcycle battery swapping operation.

In this cooperation plan, the three parties have outlined their order targets for the next three years, namely the supporting supply plan. According to preliminary calculations, from 2024 to 2026, Electrum plans to purchase over 450,000 sets of electric motorcycle battery systems from GWKC, and GWKC plans to purchase cylindrical cells of no less than 800MWh from EVE.

Electrum is a joint venture established by Indonesian energy company(TBS)and Indonesian internet group company(Goto). It is mainly engaged in the development and operation of electric motorcycles and is committed to promoting the battery swapping business of electric motorcycles in Southeast Asia. GWKC has independently mastered the core technology of lithium battery, focusing on the mid to high-end electric motorcycle industry, and providing customers with R&D, production, sales, and engineering application services for lithium battery systems specifically designed for electric motorcycles.

As a leading global lithium battery company, EVE has always adhered to technological innovation and has provided over 2.1 billion cylindrical batteries globally. In 2022, its shipment volume ranks among the top four globally and the first in China. Based on a global layout, EVE is committed to building a "6+N" cylindrical battery production base, with the ability to "manufacture globally, deliver globally, and serve globally".

This signing ceremony marks the new process of electrification in Southeast Asia assisted by EVE, which is of great significance for expanding the Southeast Asian market and deepening international layout. In the future, EVE will fully leverage its advantages and collaborate with partners to carry out long-term and in-depth cooperation, jointly promoting the transformation and upgrading of the electric motorcycle industry in the Southeast Asian market towards electrification and intelligence.
