SHOUTcast has its little flaws

The older Legacy V1 Streams ran pretty smooth no real major issues. Just seem to always work but had its limits with Video.

And along comes V2  Hurray, same good quality streaming but with some flaws.

1st flaw is: Because of Internet Browser Security's, Some streaming media will not appear correctly or in the proper media boxes due to Licensing Issues with MP3's. Pictures, Media Titles, Media Players themselves sometimes won't work correctly or even show.

2nd flaw: Because of the Licensing, if you want your media to show album covers and art and you need that media player in your control panel to absolutely Work, well unfortunetly you must Contact SHOUTcast themselves to purchase a $100 Dollar... Yep you read it correctly $100 Bucks. Purchasing the License means your on the up-n-up, Its still your choice.

3rd flaw: lol If you make adjustments to the MP3's ID Tag, The encoder will see the changes, and it sends info to some company's if it can. You may not want to put alot of your own info in the Tags, unless you own the (Rights to the Song ). If its an original by you, not a problem.:) If it's Public Domain not a problem etc.

SHOUTcast is still a Good Dependable Stream. I use them :) Very easy to setup.
